Here's what we can help you gain compensation for.
{The above examples
are for guide purposes only.}
Who will be dealing with my Claim?Only the most experienced legal professionals with specialist knowledge of this area of the law – because this is the only kind of work we handle. Details of the lawyer who will be dealing with your Claim can be found on the flap opposite. What can I Claim for?Generally speaking, you can Claim for any loss caused by the accident. For example: Physical injuries and or/shock
and distress It is very important to keep all receipts for out-of-pocket expenses associated with your accident – and to make sure they are recorded in detail. In the back of this folder you will find a blank form designed to help you keep track of them. As the Claim progresses, your lawyer will be happy to explain exactly what you may be able to Claim for. But remember – even if the accident was not your fault, you are legally obliged to keep your losses to a minimum – for example, after a car accident you should only hire a replacement car if it would be genuinely difficult for you to manage without one. How long will it take?We are committed to settling your Claim on the best possible terms as quickly as possible, so we will not put up with any unnecessary delays by the insurance companies and – if fault is admitted – we can force the insurance company to repay your expenses quickly. If no injury is involved and no dispute about who was at fault, we may be able to reach a settlement within a few weeks. It may take longer, though, if the person responsible does not admit blame – and you may have to go to Court. If you have been injured, it is important not to accept any settlement until you know exactly how serious your injuries are. Will I have to go to Court?In most cases we will start proceedings – as well as forcing the insurance company to get on with it, this means you can Claim interest on your losses. However, our vigorous, expert handling of cases nearly always secures a settlement without a Court hearing. Who pays the costs?At Ross Aldridge Solicitors we want to be sure that you have a clear understanding how much your costs are likely to be – and, of course, who will be paying them! If you have a Legal Fees Expenses Insurance, your insurers will pay and legal costs which cannot be recovered from the other party. If not, we will insure you (at our expense) for any costs that you may incur. What can I expect from Ross Aldridge Solicitors?A friendly, helpful and efficient service that leads to a speedy and generous settlement. Once your Claim is complete we will send you a questionnaire about the service you have received. This is designed to help us monitor our standard of service and to identify areas where it might be improved, so we would be grateful if you would spare a few minutes to complete and return it. Of course, we are all human – so if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service please do not hesitate to let us know straight away and we will do our best to put things right. Firstly, we suggest that you pass on your concerns to the lawyer handling your Claim. If you are not satisfied by the response, please raise the matter with Mr Ross Aldridge, Mr Siri Siriwardene. Finally, please note that once your Claim has been concluded your file will be placed in storage and destroyed after six years. If you prefer to keep it, we will be happy to pass the entire file to you as soon as your case is complete. NOTE: The information contained
on this web site is for guidance only. This is a specialist and complex
